At the Horse Pub, we believe in championing the next generation of hospitality talent. Becky Wood’s recent achievement of gaining her personal alcohol licence at just 18 is a shining example of what can be accomplished with dedication and passion.
From village roots to bar manager
Becky has grown up in Woodgreen and is a familiar face to many. Following in the footsteps of her sister Lottie, she’s become a vital part of our team – bringing enthusiasm, warmth, and exceptional service to every shift. Her new role as Bar Manager marks an exciting step forward in her hospitality journey.

Hard work and dedication
Gaining her personal alcohol licence through New Forest District Council is no small feat – especially at such a young age. Alongside this achievement, Becky is learning vital skills in stock management, supplier relations, and leadership, all while providing a friendly welcome to our customers.
Supporting our staff
As part of her new role, Becky will help train and mentor other young members of the team – continuing the long-standing tradition of local families playing an active part in the pub’s success.
A bright future ahead
Becky’s achievement is a testament to her hard work and the supportive environment we strive to create at The Horse. Congratulations, Becky – we’re incredibly proud of you!
